'Annie Sloan Late' -don't forget to pop along tomorrow after 5pm

Ok so some of you may have already seen our ‘save the date’ plea for Annie Sloan Late on Friday 21st November 2014.  Here are the plans...

Basically on the 21st November Annie Sloan would like as many of her worldwide stockists to stay open late in aid of charity, with the ultimate aim being that there will be a stockist open somewhere, at any point, over a 24 hour period.  This is of course great if we can raise a few quid for her chosen charity, the NSPCC and it also doubles up as a nice seasonal opportunity for us to socialise with you, our very special customers.

None of us have had much time to prepare for this so it’s will be a basic set-up but the most important thing to remember is that there will be wine!  We’ll also have some big boards up and some Chalk Paint™ cans open for you all to have a mess-about with if you so desire.  Of course there will be a collection pot but there will also be a raffle with the prize being an Annie Sloan Hamper worth £60 that we are chucking in to help raise as much as possible.

We’d love to see you and we really want to raise at least £100 for the NSPCC.  That’s all Annie wants from each stockist.  I’m sure with you’re help we can do it.

So, between 5pm and 7:30pm on November the 21st, please come and join us for what we hope will be a really nice evening.  

Christmas Lights Switch on.

We will be staying open late tonight to mark the switching on of Thornbury's amazing Christmas light display.  Feel free to pop in if you fancy a free mulled wine.

As part of the shop's festive range we are now offering Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ gift hampers.   Perfect as a starter pack for a novice or for someone who knows a thing or two but could do with paint and accessory top-up.  the large hamper contains a litre pot of paint, a can of clear wax, the Paint Transformations book, the Annie Sloan bristle brush, our Annie Sloan/Surroundings shopping bag and a colour chart for £60.  The small contains 2 tester pots, can of clear wax, an Annie Sloan flat brush a colour chart and the shopping bag for £30.

Paint colours can be either chosen upfront or exchanged after purchase when presented with a valid receipt.   

New: Locally made Wooden Houses

Surroundings is delighted to be selling these locally crafted wooden houses made by the very talented Chris.  They are wonderfully nordic and the copper pipe chimney adds to their unique style.

'Annie Sloan Late' is a worldwide stockist event taking place on November 21st 2014.  The intention is to stay open late and do something fun that will help raise much needed funds for the NSPCC.   We are not sure what we'll be doing as yet but it will involve painting, fundraising, mild boozing and they'll be a nice prize up for grabs too.  Until we finalise the details, just make sure you are free between 5-8pm on November 21st.  Should be a nice evening.
